KUFS
KUFS is the official Formula Student team of Khalifa University. We design, build, and compete with passion, precision, and purpose. Our 54 students span 11 disciplines, working across eight engineering subteams and an operations division. Together, we are developing KU-01, the university’s first Formula Student car, for Formula Student UK 2027 at Silverstone. Our current baseline is a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive electric single-seater with a target mass of 230–250 kg. This is our first season: from classroom concepts to circuit performance.
ABOUT
FORMULA STUDENT
Formula Student UK challenges university teams to design, build, cost and race a single-seat car under rules set by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Teams defend their engineering through design, cost and business presentations, then test the car on track through acceleration, skid pad, sprint and endurance. For KUFS, the goal is our first entry at Silverstone in 2027. We are building the car and the team together: researching, simulating, manufacturing and validating against a real budget and a fixed deadline.
